It holds typically light plastic, or light metal frames, only, with plastic lenses. Unfortunately, it cannot be used for glasses with glass lenses, as they are too heavy.
Determination of exatct maximum weight, we cannot determine, due to the variety of glasses.
It can also be used through a straight sports stem or a traditional bent stem end, and the sponges can be pulled up without any problem.
They expand everywhere. If someone buys the flooats with an internal diameter of 0.1 mm, they can be pulled not only on a 0.1 mm stem, but also on a slightly larger stem. Taking another factor into account, the end of the stem of the glasses is always slightly thicker than the stem itself, so it has to expand a bit from that point of view as well.
The most important thing is that if someone wants to test their polarized sunglasses, i.e. deliberately put them in water, they must be very careful, because the polarized lenses are made of 2 sunglasses lenses pressed together, and a polarization sheet is inserted between the two layers. These polarized sunglass lenses can get soaked between the two layers very easily. Therefore, it is not worth putting them directly into water. It is recommended that, if possible, the polarized lenses should be removed and only the frame should be tested to ensure that flooaties can make the frame float.
It should only be tried in fresh water. Do not put your glasses directly into salted water, as the salt blisters the lenses of sunglasses. Of course, if your glasses accidentally fall into the water, the lenses may not be damaged, but if they did, the frame is saved and you only need to take it in for a lens change.
